Upcoming Retreats 2019!
We love food and yoga! - and we love the Tuscany area in Italy and our host Luca from last year’s retreat - so much in fact that we decided to go back to Luca’s beautiful 13th century villa on the border of Tuscany and Umbria in 2019.
This time we will visit in late summer - just when crops are peaking, because nothing says Love for Food more than Tuscany, Italy during harvest season!
Our days will start and finish with yoga or meditation classes. Our experienced and passionate teachers can accommodate all levels of yoga experience, so this is a great opportunity to bring along friends or family, even if they never practiced yoga before. There are so many things to do and explore in this amazing part of the world - this is also for those who would love be inspired by the culture of Italy and the chance to unwind, explore, meet new people and join in the excursions and optional activities.
We will explore the amazing food market in Umbertide that looks like a movie setting but it's all real! The market is not made for tourist but for locals and we will have the chance to taste the amazing fresh products of Tuscany.
We'll learn how to make homemade Italian dishes under the guidance of local chefs including a pizza lesson in a real wooden oven. But what is best: Luca will take us on an excursion for chestnuts to harvest and if his olive trees are ready, he will show us and explain how to do olive in salamoia or undersalt with freshly harvested olives, buonissime!
No worries, we will have plenty time to relax by the pool, explore some nearby attractions and enjoy the best fine wines from this amazing region. Patrick, one of the most recognized sommeliers in Tuscany and owner of one of the best wine shops in the area, will guide us through a fine selection.
Our villa, Terzo di Danciano, is a very relaxed and friendly restored medieval hamlet, immersed in a stunning rural setting. It overlooks the border between Umbria and Tuscany near the beautiful city of Cortona, renowned for its Etruscan origins. A perfect place to find harmony, beauty and peace.
Join us! Our goal is to provide everyone that comes to our retreats a perfect balanced dose of health and sweet life, in this case - La Dolce Vita! - This retreat has all of the ingredients to help you find balance, peace and Love for Food and Yoga!

If not Italy, how about Oaxaca, Mexico?
FOR THE LOVE OF FOOD AND YOGA,
Dec 13-22, 2019
This retreat comes straight from the heart of Pacati Yoga. This time we will journey to Oaxaca, the town where Rosa grew up before starting the journey that inspired her to become the happy yoga traveler, teacher, food lover and curious adventurer that she is now.
Oaxaca de Juarez is a UNESCO recognized World Heritage city in central Mexico. It’s known for its colonial buildings, many of which are made from green volcanic stone. Oaxaca’s food is truly a unique and delicious experience. During this trip we will experience Rosa's passion for good food! We will have the chance to learn about and taste her favorite Mexican dishes, eat at her favorite places, and learn how to eat tacos like a Mexican!
Our days will start with morning yoga classes led by Rosa, Jasmine Nash, and Scott Erickson. Guests will also have the opportunity to join in on yoga workshops and sunset meditations. We welcome and support all levels of yoga practitioner- classes are appropriate for first timers as well as advanced yogis. We truly love yoga, and we approach our practice in a way that invites exploration and encourages personal growth. "We are here for you" is our mantra.
Our home base is located in the heart of the historic center of Oaxaca, it is the ideal place to explore the best attractions of the city. Oaxaca has amazing weather! We can't wait to relax, recharge, and get a great tan on the rooftop terrace and pool area. We especially love the coziness of this colonial building, we really feel the "mi casa es tu casa" atmosphere here!
As a group we will journey to ancient towns, vibrant markets, archeological sites, and many more cultural and natural attractions.
